Specifications of the Mighty Dart

Engine:

1979 360 with a repro 340 Magnum cam, an Edelbrock Performer 750 cfm, pn 1407, 4bbl onto a factory 4bbl intake off an 86 Diplomat. Mallory HyFire ignition triggered by a stock points distributor. Dual exhaust using the 1979 Cordoba exhaust manifolds. No other mods.

Trans:

1979 A999 as delivered from the factory, except for the years of use that is.

Rear end:

8 1/4 out of a 74 Dart, with a 2.45 gear in it and no Suregrip.

Suspension:

Rebuilt with Polygraphite bushings and all new parts. This includes PG bushings for the rear as well as all the sway bar bushings. Front swaybar, 1 1/16", and rear swaybar, 3/4". KYB shocks all around. Original 1972 /6 torsion bars and leafs. Car lowered 2 inches all around. P225/60R14's in the front and P225/70R15's in the rear.

Brakes:

Basically, a stock 73 and up disc brake system with semimetallic pads.

Interior:

Ha! Electric seats out of a 79 Cordoba, electric locks, and one electric window. No radio and the AC is fubar. Looks like h#ll but it is fast.

Body:

Double Ha! Looks like a herder of shopping carts and a part time dirt tracker. Forest green in color with a black top that used to be vinyl at one point of it's life. Junkyard mags that ran $30 for all four.
