1998 Cruiserkhana
The 1998 Cruiserkhana for the Toyota Landcruiser Club was held on
Sat March 21 and Sunday March 22.
Events included a cross country obstacle course, staircase,
watercrossing, rock climb, tyre track and novelty events such as an
egg and spoon race (really a pan and tennis ball race!).

This rangie made it through the water, but had trouble with the
slippery, rutted exit. The lack of an LSD probably made the
difference between success and failure. Other vehicles (yes toyotas
too!) without LSDs had similar problems.

All hands on deck to get the rangie out! Well, rubbernecking is a
universal occupation isn't it!
The rangie was eventually winched out. The driver received a prize
at the end of the day's driving for the entertainment value. He holed
his fuel tank on the rock climb! Note that all events were optional
and vehicles that took a careful line were able to complete both
courses without misshap. The club does not set out to provide vehicle
damaging events!
The lesson is, I guess, learn the limitations of your vehicle and
drive accordingly!
