This '55 Chevy was owned by Mike Corbett. I worked for him
in 1990. We built a 427 CU IN engine with unported closed chamber square ports and a holley intake
and 850 carb. Th400 trans with a 5000 stall speed, and a 12 bolt rear end with 4.30-1 gears.
The '55 ran 10.90 et at 124 mph on a good day! After I left Mike built a 468 with lots
with the works....aluminum bow tie heads dominator carb etc...The '55 was traction limited
to a best of 10.12 at 135.6 mph.
