Ferrari is the most successful team in the history of Formula One, with Drivers Championships for Alberto Ascari in 1952 & 1953, Juan Fangio 1956 , Mike Hawthorn 1958, Phil Hill 1961, John Surtees 1964, Niki Lauda in 1975 & 1977, and Jody Scheckter 1979, and Michael Schumacher's dominance in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
Ferrari ~ the team so famous, there is a word in Italian "Tifosi" meaning " Ferrari fans" who will support 4 times & reigning World Champion Michael Schumacher & Rubens Barrichello in 2002.

Argentinian Jose Gonzales (Pampas Bull) won Ferrari's first F1 Grand Prix victory at Silverstone in 1951

Alberto Ascari won two World Championships with Ferrari, in 1952 and 1953.
He scored 13 wins in 31 Grand Prix,
including every race of the 1952 season.

Mike Hawthorn won only one race in 1958 on his way to become the World Champion (team mate Peter Collins tragically died during the race at Nurburgring).

Phil Hill, driving the famous 'Shark Nose' Ferrari 156, scored the title of World Champion 1961.
Team mate Wolfgang von Tripps died during the season.

Niki Lauda took nine pole positions and five race victories to score his first GP World Championship in 1975.  His horrific crash in Germany prevented back-to-back titles, but he recovered to win again in 1979.

Jody Scheckter won three races on his way to collect the 1979 World Champion's crown in what Enzo Ferrari called the ugliest car ever to leave his factory.

The famous scarlet red livery of Ferrari has taken the Constructor's Championship in 1961, 1964, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Michael Schumacher's driving and Ferrari's dominance prevailed in the Constructor's trophy for 1999, 2000 and 2001, and with Michael taking the Driver's Championship for 2001 & 2002.
