David asked; If anyone have ideas or plans for making air cushions, I am open for ideas. Regards, David David ; I use a air mattress from Walmart ($1.98) . Its a small kids kick board type ( with the window ) . Before blowing it up I cover both sides with duct tape. Works great ! A little addition I did was to add a hose with a squeeze ball at the end like you would find on a Doctors blood pressure cuff. Allows me to adjust the firmness as I drive down the road. Been thinking about plugging the hose into one of those little 12 volt air compressors to have the first Morgan with a Power seat. I've done the foam bit and while fine for short around town drives nothing works as well as the air blatter . If I could I'd have blatters in all my cars. Bob Nogueira -------------------------------------- A folded, slightly inflated innertube works fine- and you have a spare tube with you. Not a bad idea in this era of tubless tyres. Fred Sisson --------------------------------------- Turn your search engines loose on this question. A quick look with the argument "inflatable seat cushions" yields: (among many returns) === http://www.trakkerinc.com/adv/trimate/tricat/tricat.htm#buns BUNS-OOH! Twin-Rest Inflatable Seat Cushion #25010 $14.00 === I found nothing that looks like a replacement for the original equipment, maybe I should look more. I use foam in our 4/4. This has worked OK, but I suspect is a bit thinner now than when new. Too much seat time! I've tried experimenting with inner tubes. Haven't got that figured out yet. Any suggestions out there?? The 4/4 seat bottoms are different than +4's, at least in my observations, and may require different solutions. John McNaughton 1966 4/4 ---------------------------------------------- I have just received the March 1999 issue of Miscellany, and I note that Melvyn Rutter is advertising a small batch of seat bladders that he has had made to the original dimensions. Not cheap at sixty six pounds, though. Dave Wagstaff 1997 Plus 4 ----------------------------------------------- I haven't actually tried this, but others have. Orthopedic supply stores/drug stores sell inflatable "donuts" for people in wheelchairs or with hemorrhoids. These vary in size. Take the seat cushion with you and find a donut that fits. this is a replacement for the original bladder. It might work and is worth looking into. -----Original Message----- From: Greg Solow <gregmogdoc@surfnetusa.com> To: Jon Callas <jon@callas.org>; morgans@autox.team.net <morgans@autox.team.net> Date: Saturday, March 06, 1999 6:23 PM Subject: Re: Seeing over the steering wheel >You don't say what year or model Morgan you have.
