Jerry, The postwar 4-4 had a Moss box (1947-50). The +4 had a Moss box (1950-1969). Early +8's had a Mosss box. If you need a transmission for a Cortina engined 4/4, the German Ford transmission is much stronger than the English one. The German box was in 1974 Pintos with the 1600cc engine. The German box has 10 screws on the top cover, the English one 4 screws. The German box used to cost about $75 at the scrapyard, the English box about $250! On the same subject Moss boxes are made of unobtainium and $1500 might be the price. Regards, Tony -------------------------------------------------------- Morganeers: I am desperate..... I have a throwout bearing on the way. Question does anyone have a picture of the linkage between the throwout bearing and the fork? It consists of a "D" ring made out of spring steel and a couple of circular wire clips. I am getting the clips but I will probably have to fabricate the "D" ring out of spring steel.
