Other Stuff
Here we are in March already and there are lots of plans being made. trips to France and the Lake district (I know where I’d rather go!), evening runs starting again next month, and plans being made for the Club stand at Beaulieu. yes, we’ll be there, we have a volunteer to transport the tent and other stuff. It’s July 22 - 23, bring your tent and come for the weekend; the Saturday night entertainment was Something Else last year! ! John Quirk recently met someone who was there; he only just recognised her with her clothes on can’t promise any more of that but put the date in your diary.
I had a problem with one of my footpegs the other day - it wasn’t there. Very inconvenient for riding home from work, it may only be 6 miles but that’s a long way to hold your leg up! There was a new breakers advertising in Freeads so I rang them up and they had a footpeg assembly so I went over to Christchurch after work to collect it. There it was, waiting for me, and it was clean too, - see inside for details.
BIKERS YARD SALVAGE
A new company in Christchurch aims to assist bikers to keep their machines on the road by supplying secondhand parts and also puts back on the road damaged repairables. They also carry stock of replacement fairings, tanks and panels for sports bikes. For spares or a motorcycle phone Pete on:
Tel 01202 489680 Fax 01202 489681
Unit 8, Hughes Business Park, Wilverley Rd, Christchurch.
This is where I got my footpeg assembly; Pete said he’d give a 10% discount if you belong to a club so I said I’d give him a plug in the newsletter. They also have a bikers clothing shop at 11 Purewell which I believe is run by his daughter - I don’t know whether the discount applies there too but it’s always worth a try - tell them you read it in DMEC News!
