This is Monogram's '32 Ford Roadster Street Rod #2718
I built this model pretty much from the box.
The interior was airbrushed Tamiya matt white acrylic to match the rag-top. The steering wheel was painted woodgrain, the gear lever knob was painted as an 8 ball, extra under-dash guages and a fire extinguisher were also added.
With the body, I removed the bumper brackets, the headlamps were de-chromed and airbrushed the same color as the body, this being Model Master Italian Red enamel.
I treated the firewall to some Bare Metal Foil to simulate stainless steel, and finally a set of fog-lamps were fitted from the spare parts box.
The tires were sanded to give a road-worn effect, and the lettering hand painted using Tamiya matt white acrylic.
This model won me best Hot Rod at a local model show.
