1960 Pontiac Bonneville

This is Trumpeter's 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Kit #02502

This is an absolutely brilliant kit, with excellent detail, it was a treat to build.

Built pretty much from the box.

Body: Airbrushed along with the chassis using 2 coats of a custom mixed metalic green enamel, then 2 coats of clear, and Bare Metal foil was apllied.

Interior: Painted using enamel in a tri-tone green color scheme, with dark grey flocking on the floor and the inside of the trunk. The jack and wheel brace is from the parts box.

Engine: Was "rattle can" sprayed using Testors "Turquoise enamel. The air-cleaner was sprayed with "Alclad", Plug wires were also added as well as exhaust tips that were scratched using aluminum tube.

The "Photo-etch" bonnet hinges were an experience, although quite fiddly, work well.

Wheels & Tires: Tires were sanded, and I applied a thin wash thru the wheels to give them depth, and the outer rim was painted with green used on the body.

Inner & outer door handles, wipers, side mirror, and air cleaner were sparyed with Alclad Chrome.
