Comments: Just stopped in to view recent messages. Wanted to make a few comments. As stated in an earlier post, I am what is called a baby disciple in the DFW ICCJ. In response to Justin's comments, I ask that he put it on his heart to humble himself in his messages. God doesn't want us to get into arguements or challenge others that way. To Tom Harley I wanted to offer a response to his non-denomination issue. Jesus said that there should be only one church, His church. If you believe in God and His word (the bible)then you must accept that as truth. It is sinful to have different Christian churches like Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Lutherine, Jahova's Witness, etc. We (ICCJ) proclaim no doctine other than the bible. That is why we call ourselves non-denominational. To do otherwise would be sinning against our father. We don't think ourselves better than anyone else (remember this, Justin), but only try to live as God wants us to. If there are other churches out there that feel as we do about the bible (and I'm sure there are), we need to join together as one church (it doesn't need to be called the ICCJ, either). That is what God commands.
Take a look at 1 Corinthians 1:10-17. Take a good look at it. Is Paul saying that it's sinful to have different opinions (see Romans 14:1-10 for more on different opinions) or to let the different opinions turn into feirce arguements? Comments: I just read "My story" and it makes me sad to see what happens when the brain is left at the door when entering the Church. I've been a member for a little over 3 years and definitely had my struggles, but fortunately it was my critical attitude that helped me get through it. I suggest checking out all resources before getting into something that is a committment forever. I was on the internet, library, christian bookstores, and I was fully aware of the downsides of the Church, but I weighed the good and bad and decided after lots of prayer that God would make it clear - and he did. I try to change wrongs when I see them, not complain and get bitter and pray that God would stop any movement that becomes focussed on humans rather than him. Anyways, good luck to everybody.

Comments: I am a memeber of ICC and this is my personal opinion. I just want to let you know (whoever reading this) that don't blindly believing what people tell you over the net. I read couple of stories here and in REVEAL. I truly believe a lot of stuffs was made up by people (ex-member) and a lot of one sided opinion. For example the Indianapolis church splited in 1994(Ed Power). It is quite convincing story that he wrote and is well documented too (sound like the ICC leader false). But I spoke to some ex-Indianapolis CC member and I found out that he covered up a lot of truth. Half of the truth means lie. The internet won't tell you the truth but just a lot angry and false accusation. All the contributions are all used in the church and our leader live poorly everyday. You can't find any false in our leader and they don't take extra money into their own pockets (not like those religious leader, you know who). I love the relationship in the church and dating are 100% pure. You can't find this anywhere in this religious world and women are very well respected. Every member study and obey the bible and we are committed to God. Where can you find a group like this? A lot of churches compromise bible, most of the contribution go straight to their pastor salary, immoral relationship is allowed within the church. What kind of church do you think they are? Will you say they are God's church? At least I don't find these problems/scandal in ICC. You can't find it either. Well, first off... he thinks many stories by former members are made up? Then he goes on to talk about how so little of the offerings at the ICC go to the pastor's pockets. I wonder how much he really knows about how the ICC spends its money. Like the way Kip McKean lives in a $409,000 condo in Pacific Palisades, California.

Comments: I am 17 years old, and have been a member of the ICC for 1 year and 1 month. I want to encourage all of the disciples who stood up for their faith on this page. I would also like to tell all of our critics that they are being ridiculous, and that most of them are just trying to find an easy way to please God, which does not exist. Being a Christian is not easy. Don't be so shocked about being asked to give up everything for God. Jesus demanded the same thing. You all sound like a bunch of whiners to me. Comments: I was surfing on the Net trying to find information about the one true church. I would be in your eyes considered a "member" of the ICC. I stumbled upon an article about the Memphis Church of Christ and was intrigued because I know Jamie and Ana Slobodnik personally. I thought your article was completely unspiritual and biased. You have absolutely no idea what Jamie and Ana have done for God. Their lives are totally and completely committed to the purpose of Jesus. It is sad that you can get on the Net and mislead people by giving a shallow and deceptive one sided account.
One question: When was the last time you saw an ICC page give both sides of the controversies that surround them?

Comments: I am really tired of hearing all the lies regarding the international churches of christ (especially the kansas city church). My wife and I have been in the church for 4 years and have never regretted it once! we are now part of the newly planted Lawrence church of christ. I constantly see people who study the bible, count the costs of being a true disciple of Christ, get baptised, and then decide they can't hold up to their promises to god about being faithful, but turn around and blame the church and call it a cult to cover up faithlessness. get some courage! Just be honest and admit that being faithful and denying yourself was more than you could deal with. don't blame the church. that's cowardly and deceitful!

Comments: to who ever read this. yes im a member of this "cult", but i think you are just eazy picking's for the devil. this is the church that jesus predicted in the bible.(mostly all in revalations"that's the last book for you people that do not read the bible". I just have to say that in the last speach that jesus gave before he went into heaven,(matthew 28:18-20)"All athority in heaven and on earth have been given to me, therefore go and MAKE DISCIPLES in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to obey everything i commanded you, and surely im with you always to the very end of the age" N.I.V. version. If you dont belive in God this doesnt mean nothing to you, but if you do, this is suppose to be your life's work. This is the last day's, and the devil have control on all your minds, and God is giving you a chance to repent and be saved before he goes on his judgement. I pray for every one of you. because the devil will come before jesus and trick you into beliving he is the true christ and alot of you will follow, because he will bring peace to the middle-east and you will worship him. i tell you the truth, when ever there is peace there the end will come...........
