Top 7 Reasons Why "Denominational" Churches Are More Committed Than the ICC
I made this list for a variety of reasons. Part of it is because I sincerily do believe that in many respects there are people you will find in mainstream churches who display more commitment than ICC members. Another reason was to use satire to call attention to some of the implications behind ICC rules and legalism. Finally, well, I made this list for fun.
- 7. Members of "denominational" churches apply the commandment "love thy neighbor" to non-sharp people as well as sharp people.
- 6. "Denominational" congregations recall that Jesus gave some of his disciples callings other than to be fishers of men.
- 5. In "denominational" churches, they obey 2 Corithians 9:7 so much that members actually decide in their own heart how much they will give.
- 4. "Denominational" churches are so committed to unity of the Church that they are willing to admit that members of other denominations are probably saved.
- 3. In "denominational" churches, members are bold enough to challenge the pastor when they don't agree with him.
- 2. Most unmarried couples in "denominational" churches are so dedicated, they can go on dates by themselves without having sex.
- 1. Members of "denominational" churches only have to go to church once a
week to maintain this level of commitment.
