From the Head Crafter

During this time in the baby's life, the best musical instrument you can expose them to is your own voice. Singing in quiet tones, in bi-tonic, tri-tonic and pentatonic scales are all best. These scales are easy to master, and cannot be damaged in an experiment. See the essay on Carl Orff for more information on this subject.

For a quality resource for teaching Music, I recommend the book Accent on Orff: An introductory approach by Konnie K. Saliba.
