Pork Chop and Rice Dinner

My mother made this all the time when I was a kid. She found it in a church recipe book.

Ingredients

up to 4 center-cut pork chops
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 can beef consomme
salt
pepper

Cooking

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. On a skillet, brown pork chops on both sides. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Spray casserole dish with non-stick spray and pour in rice.
4. Layer pork chops over rice.
5. Cover with consumme.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour.
