Sheryl Crow Begins 30-city Tour in Support of New Album

Los Angeles, CA - Seven-time Grammy winning songwriter/recording artist Sheryl Crow began her North American tour beginning July 26. The tour will take her through 33 U.S. cities, where she will play New York's Jones Beach, Harbor Lights in Boston, the Rosemont Theater in Chicago, Denver's Red Rocks and the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Crow is touring in support of her second A&M album, SHERYL CROW, which was released in l996 and has netted Crow two Grammy Awards (Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and Best Rock Album) and worldwide sales in excess of 4 million.

The first two single releases from SHERYL CROW, "If It Makes You Happy" and "Everyday Is A Winding Road," have both been two of the most played songs in the country and two of the most played videos on MTV and VHl. The newest track, "A Change," was released to radio just two weeks ago is already being programmed on 22l major radio stations.

Rolling Stone praised SHERYL CROW as "grittier and more intimate...and the craftsmanship is strong and self-assured" and The New York Times said of the self-produced record, "Crow is fully in charge...Her confidence is unmistakable."

SHERYL CROW is the follow-up to Crow's debut smash, TUESDAY NIGHT MUSIC CLUB, which received five Grammys and sold more than ll million copies worldwide.

Crow, who plays guitar, keyboards and accordion on stage, ended a Pacific rim tour in early June where her album is Platinum in Australia and Japan. Crow performed "A Change" on the David Letterman Show on Thursday, June l2 and two days later she left for a European tour. Her album is Platinum in the U.K. Along with lead guitarist Todd Wolfe, guitarist Jeff Trott, bassist Tim Smith, drummer Jim Bogis and keyboardist/percussionist Scott Bryan, Crow has just returned for the U.S. tour.
