Queen of Disks.

this card is like a bleeding fountain of youth...in order to experience the true deeper meanings of life, she had to expose layer after layer every bit of strength in her being and still she found more, so that she could realize that every weakness she had was only a STRENGTH!!!! The fountain is always found just past conflict and pain, where compromise is always found and peace is always near; turning little grudges into gold....

indeed i might think that the semi barren landscape she looks back upon is her home past present and future as well. having cut an irrigation canal and planted some shade trees the best is yet to come as the natural processes of nature take over and create abundant paradise; one might even draw parralels with the formula of the rose and the cross; Having penetrated the barren nature of the desert by virtue of physical toil (as of the foot soldier) and layed down the skeletal masculine 'cross' of infrastructure; she reverts to a yin stance and allows the 'rose' to develop in its' haven.

This is one of my favorite cards because it reminds me of someone I once knew. He was very special to me. The queen is a watcher and a planner. Only she knows what the future will hold. She is looking back over the harshness of what she has endured. The desert behind her is the past. It has been unforgiving and unsymapthetic. It has not been a very happy part of her life. The road has been a long and winding one.

First this Queen reminded me of Tina Turner's character in 'Beyond Thunderdome'. Then, I decided she reminded me of Tina Turner, period.
From her childhood through the abuse and injusticie's she lived through in her lifetime. This Queen looks out over the desert, the long winding road that she herself has traveled. Knowing that she would not be in the position she is in today, had she not.
Reward after, and because of endurance.

This woman is resting after a long and difficult journey. The oasis gives her everything she needs and she can get back her strenght. She's still looking in the past, but she knows everything is all right now. She's wearing the horns, which signify her wisdom. She's strong, beautiful and wise.

I was at the Tropicana casino in Alantic City, NJ. I was with a friend who was hoping to win a VW Beetle. The MC was a woman with dark hair a pretty face. She was wearing a dazzling red dress. She was giving away cars and money. My card for the day was the Queen of Disks. I figure she fit the bill. Besides that it was a setting of glitz opulence and money money money.
