The swords meet at their apexes, piercing the darkness
Allowing the light tocome forth. This card has balance.

As swords represent the powers of intellect, the Three
of Swords represents total clear reconing. Facing
reality squarely without equivocation or guile. For
most, it is comming to terms with the the facts, all of
them, especially some really unpleasant ones. Many are
dragged kicking and screaming to this level of
realization. Awakenings can be very rude.

Interference. Seperation. Two people, beliefs,
attitudes, any varing pairs or opposites that need to
meet on common ground.
There will be something that ever so slightly make this
impossible, represented by the 3rd and farthest
reaching Sword.
If this card is placed on it's side, it shows an
accurate representation of a 'thorn in one's side.'

this card is the mourning of loss. thought cannot
penetrate anything above the abyss of knowledge, so to
it anything there is gone, and lost.

I have always interpretated as a seperation, divorce
card.
Another one I have heard is that is it is a sign of
a triangle meaning an affair.

1. That event or situation which cleaves the heart.
Similar to Hexagram 16(L5), lingering on but not dying
from it.
2. Divided heart, pierced heart, divided loyalties,
(yin=blood=Hexagram 59), one should take the necessary
steps to bring together divisive forces and also
distance oneself (mentally, or in your heart - the seat
of the intent, will, and aspirations/desires)
3. One FEELS stabbed in the heart, but is this
perception or is this fact?
S. Gillberg (cgillberg@email.msn.com)
Saturn in Libra.
Restrictions of nurture or relationship
divided by 3.
Death of something. Mental attachment to something
that cannot be.
Broken promise and sorrow comes from this
realization.
Expectations were not reached & mental death occurs.
Remedy for 3 swords: LET GO! There cannot be pain
without attachment. All pain stems from attachment so
without attachment you'll have no pain.
Let go of expectations.

The sword of clarity is held back by the smaller and bended
swords of worries and hereby hurting the rose of acknowledgement.
In other words: Your worries are blinding your possibity to see things
as they are.
