First of all, I'd like to thank you for visiting, and invite you to send me any comments that you have about any part of this site. As with most web sites, "Romantic Notions" is frequently expanding and changing, so Under Construction signs are implied instead of posted.

Before I go any further, I want to make this abundantly clear: It is expressly forbidden to use any of this site's images or content for anything whatsoever. This site, "SweetPaisley's Romantic Notions", is written and maintained by Paisley, with any featured contributions attributed to the author who wrote or created it. All content, site layout, and design is copyright Š1997-1999 by Paisley, except otherwise attributed. Nothing is to be copied or used without consent expressed in writing. In other words: don't copy, steal, borrow, or link to anything on this site, be it content or graphic in nature. I make everything myself, for myself... I don't give away the things I create. Please contact me if you know of anyone who is using my graphics or is claiming my site content as their own.

All background images and graphics used on this site were created by Paisley, and are not to be copied and used without permission, or used on a site linked back to the graphics on this one (by using BACKGROUND="http://www.provider.com" or IMG src="//www.provider.com"). Any images not created by me are linked back to its originator on the page where the graphics themselves appear. If in doubt of a copyright somewhere on my site, check the source code for one. Logo images are not credited and are used with permission, in most cases as links to their own website. Banner and webring graphics are copyrighted to their creators. I would like to thank Ann-S-Thesia and Silver for the know-how and inspiration to design my own original paisley backgrounds.

If you happen to find, somewhere on my site, that I've inadvertantly placed a copyrighted graphic which you do not allow the usage or graphic manipulation of, please contact me and let me know so that I can remove it. Since I create most of my images and graphics from scratch using PhotoShop, I realize that this is unlikely. However, I don't believe in using someone else's work without permission.

"Romantic Notions" is optimized for use on a Netscape (3.x and up) or MSIE browser, Java and JavaScript enabled. The entrance ('front door'), as well as the rest of the site employs JavaScript directional guides, like the one at the bottom of this page, so if you didn't see a pop-up window (the PaisleyPoll) when you got to the front door you need a new, updated browser. I do not use cookies, JavaScript or Java bombs... the Javascript I do use enables you to see the footer at the bottom of every page so you can move from area to area easily. A (very) few pages use sound, but a sound card isn't necessary (although it does help to enjoy the atmosphere and experience of the Mmmartini Lounge). Screen size minimum 640 x 480, especially on the main entrance page where smaller screens will overlap the border with the text and graphics. Several fonts are used on this site - including Palatino, Book Antiqua, and Adorable (occasionally Lucida Calligraphy, Verdana, AlleyCat or Arial/Helvetica). You'll be missing out on some of the atmos if you can't see them on my pages. Don't have these fonts on your computer? New! Download the zipped file (293k) and enjoy.

The Mmmartini Lounge Virtual Cocktails site (including images, design, idea, etc.) is copyrighted by SweetPaisley. The script itself is hosted by Personal Postcards. No image or graphic is to be used except as a part of the Virtual Cocktails site - in other words, you cannot copy or link to any of my images, background included. If you want to link back to us, we've got a way for you to do it... using supercool graphics, plus we link back to your site as a "Friend of the Mmmartini Lounge".

Please remember that in all instances, the creator of each image, background, and content retains all copyrights. Do not copy, borrow, steal, or claim anything on this site as yours if it is not attributed to you, or you have not gained permission to do so. If you don't know why this is so evil, learn more about Netiquette and saving graphics. If you want free graphics... use your favourite search engine to find pages set up exclusively for this reason. They want you to use their work... I do not. The best policy to follow when saving graphics is:

"When in doubt, leave it out. Use only graphics from 'free' graphics sites, where the creator has made the page explicitly for that use. Never, ever link to another's server to use an image on your site... copy it and upload it to your server."
