watching the city from the bay window of a cafe
its is night
almost
just past twilight
again
maybe the stars will show themselves
soon
the music is just right
capturing a perfect
mood
just staring
watching
the people
wandering past
some hand in hand
some
alone
hurrying by
half-embarrassed
unaware of our watchful, critical gaze
people watching
coffee, talking
about things that matter
too much today
"What happened to her?"
"too far away"
the first star in the sky
in the heart of the sinking
move me more than a thousand
empty kisses
sometimes one kiss moves me more
than a thousand stars
dancing through the city's
world
people watching
again

Visions of Crazy Horse
The Joyous Accomplisher
How joyous it
[Take the Mic]
for the beautiful laughing girl
there was
a girl
who i would talk to
and
she seemed thrilled
that i wrote and at that moment
the poem meant more
to her
than me
"when you are
famous
will you write
a poem
for me?"
"of course"
i replied
never really
expecting
anything other than
writing
into this hole
the words
fly around
some landing
like butterflies on fire
burning the page
i woner what
i will gain
from writing this
probably
not as much
as
you reading it
i seem to
change people's
lives with my
words
i try
to do the same
with the poems
it almost
definitely
isn't what you
wanted
but here
is your
poem
beautiful
laughing
girl

riding high
on the wings of mythical muses,
when the strength of men
was born of the wildest freedom.
Under the raging stars,
trees bore flaming leaves
and the flame spoke in tongues
under the living sky.
Your eyes wild,
seeing beyond.
Four walls could not hold your dance
and the words you gave to me
were born far beyond the book that found them.

accomplishes a
difficult task
The feeling of
happiness is
about the heart
of the accomplisher
Everybody faces
challenging circumstances
on a day to day basis
But if we trust
God in everything
He will help us
overcome our daily
challenges
It is then when
we are finished
facing the difficult
challenge that we
are the joyous accomplisher!
