Among Friends

I feel sheltered and loved
for once in my life.
Sheltered and loved
no strings attached.

I feel free to love
without feeling guilt.
Free to love
without doing anything.
I feel free to feel love
inside me
without anybody
reading things that aren’t there
into my love.
Just a high, uplifting feeling,
a feeling of love.

I feel free to be loved,
without guilt and I-O-U:s.
I feel free to be loved,
and I feel thankful for that I am.
I feel free to receive this gift
with simply a "thank you" in return.
I accept to be loved for being me.
