Once was a time upon the land
When dragons filled our skies
Creatures both gentle and grand
Until they fell before man’s lies
Blessed with the gift of flight
While kings must yet walk the earth
Kings who knew not what is right
Hated all they were denied by birth
Their knights they did set forth to slay
These gentle creatures of the sky
And the dragons found at work and at play
Soon were set before kings to die
Fearsome tales did mankind invent
To bring glory to his evil deed
And now that all dragon blood is spent
We find there really was no need
