Just a Memory

When I'm with you wish time stood still

No hour to take me away from you

To feel cheated by the hrs that fly by so fast

Cherishing every minute and second that I'm with you.

I gently touch your lips with my fingertips

Starring into eyes as black as the night

Searching for an answer

The sound of a sweet melody now heard

Nothing spoken, not a word

My heart cries with pain

Your face now becomes just a memory

A part of my soul, I giveth away

A precious gift only few shall ever know

With eyes closed I can see you smile and hear your laughter

Remembrance of you, my friend forever

And a time we shared just you and I

The comfort of that sweet melody brings me closer

But my tears still fall

For you are just that.....a memory.
