Are You This Good?

If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to
give you any time,
If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when,
through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can say honestly that, deep in your heart, you have no
prejudice against creed, color, religion or politics,
If you can give love unconditionally without pressure or expectation,
Then, my friend, you are ALMOST as good as your dog.

I'm the newest member of the Taylor household! My name is Luke and as you can see, I'm mostly named after Luke Skywalker. My mommy had a second reason that made it final...you can ask her if you're that curious. I really thought my name was going to be "Oh, you're so cute, aren't you? Isn't he cute honey?" for a long time. Thank goodness for Star Wars.

My big sister Annie doesn't seem to mind me too much as long as I stay far away from her chewies (Chewbaca?) and her Woobie squeaky. She likes to watch me mostly...I think she's waiting for me to get big enough to play with.

My other sister Pandora is...well, she's a CAT! She's only a couple of months older than I am, so she's just as playful and full of energy as I am.

Mommy and Daddy used to tell Annie & Pandora "You just wait until Luke is bigger than you two, then you'll be sorry." Well I'm finally bigger than both of 'em and they still pick on me! I guess that's what happens when you're the baby.

Mommy thinks they should have named me Lick instead of Luke. I lick the furniture, stray pieces of fuzz, books, elbows carelessly left overlapping a chair - almost anything, but Mommy always seems to know when I'm about to do something naughty...how does she do that? (Oh and by the way, a note from Luke's Mommy - he gets a glint in his eye like "ho hum, is anyone watching me? no? Well I'll just lick this computer chair then. THAT'S how I know :))

I really love my family and I'm glad they decided to love me too.
