Sd.Kfz.250/6 Ausf A was an ammunition carrier attached to Stug III units armed with short 75mm guns. It carried 70 rounds of ammunition - 2 rounds in each of the 35 boxes. Ausf A was discontinued in 1942, when Stug IIIs were armed long 75mm guns. Sd.Kfz.250/6 Ausf B was a modified version of Ausf A to accomodate the bigger ammunition used by Stug III Ausf F and Gs. It carried 60 rounds of ammunition. Ausf A and B were introduced to replace leichte Gepanzerte Munitionskraftwagen Sd.Kfz.252 ammunition carriers. Internal stowage of both variants varied to suit layout. On Ausf B, the vision window on the right hand side differed from that of the basic vehicle.
