On June 13, 1998, there was a dedication at Greenlawn Cemetery for Corporal Greaves, whose bravery earned him the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was buried in Greenlawn Cemetary without a headstone. After 92 years, Raymond Albert, who belongs to the Medal of Honor Historical Society, found out about Greaves' tomb.
They dedicated the headstone on this day with full military honors by local VFW and American Legion Posts. Finally a wrong was corrected and a hero has the headstone he should have had 92 years ago. Through the efforts of the Franklin County Veterans Service Commission and Mr. Raymond Albert, the site is now properly marked.
