Instructors

The Adult Staff members are volunteers that work with the kids. The Adult Staff guide the Young Marines in the right direction but the kids run the program. The kids are in charge of the organization but they follow the directions given by the adults.

Cpl Auwen is the Commanding Officer of the Macomb County Young Marines. As a former Young Marine Cpl Auwen was one of the most decorated Young Marines who made it to the rank of Sergeant Major. Cpl Auwen is currently on Recruiters Duty in Macomb County.

Sgt Dano is the Executive Officer and Platoon Commander for the Macomb County unit recruit platoon. Sgt Dano is a reservist with 1st Battalion, 24th Marines out of Broad Head Armory in Detroit.

Erin Auwen is the Unit's Adjutant and one of our female instructors.
