Real Stories

Here are some stories that our visitors have left or we have found, read up it's the REAL WORLD!!

I remember a guy in Ranger School that used to brag about how when he was an RTO in Vietnam, he fell asleep one night and several guys were found in the morning with their throats slit? He would BRAG about sleeping, saying things like, "in the field, I always find a way to get mine." We were about ready to give the guy a blanket party when he was let go. One reason I never slept in the field while on guard is a story my old man told me about Korea. He was in the Navy during W W II, got out for about six months, went to Army OCS at Ft. Riley, and by the time the shit hit the fan in Korea, he was a Captain. He's out checking guard posts with his Korean counterpart. They come around the side of a building, and sound asleep is a South Korean guard. The Korean officer pulled out his .45 and shot him dead on the spot. As a kid I used to think it was rather harsh. But, during war when people are counting on you, it's a different story.
