SAVAGE Contract Rifle Muskets

Savage Revolving Firearms Company of Middletown, C.T., contracted with the War Dept. to manufacture regulation rifle muskets. His first deliveries were late 1863 and his last were in 1864. The muskets delivered were of the model 1861. Savage also furnished Savage revolving pistols.
