I couldn't believe my eyes when I stumbled upon your web page . I was stationed in Athens Greece with the 5 th Aerial Port Squadron Detachment # 3 , from December 1954 to May 1957. I was a Aircraft loadmaster and vividly recall C-119 aircraft from the 12 th Troop Carrier Squadron on TDY to Athens.

In fact to get my four hours flying time each month I use to hich a ride with your crews Our main duty in Athens was running an Air Terminal for southern Europe for Passangers and Cargo. If my memory services me right

The 12th Flew us to Isreal in 1956 to get out the American Embassy People When the French & Brits tried to take over the Suez Canal With Isreals help.
