Name of show: RRS Sale Horse Exhibition
Date of show: Sept. 27
Hosted by: Liza Teich
Hosted at: Raspberry Ridge Stables
We had a great exhibition day! It was a little bit chilly, but that was okay. Everything went smoothly and I was proud of all my riders! Good job, guys!
First Horse: Mister Fantastic, ridden by Lindsay Belles
- Lindsay and Taz started out the day with a perfect performance! After warming up in the center arena to show off his lovely gaits, they performed a jumping course consisting of 2’ – 2’6 fences. It included frightening fences such as the brick wall, rolltop and flower box.
Second Horse: Never Say Never, ridden by Misty
- Misty and Nina turned out to be an excellent match! They performed Second Level Dressage Test A to near perfection. Nina also showed off her extended trot, half-pass and inside and outside bends. Good job!
Third Horse: Last Chance, ridden by Carlie Jenkins
- Chance had plenty to show off, too! A natural western pleasure horse, he wowed the crowd with his gorgeous gaits and sweet, laid back personality. Carlie was smiling ear to ear the entire ride!
Fourth Horse: Jefferson, led by Erin M.
- Jeff dazzled the crowd, as usual, as only miniature horses can. Erin did a fabulous job of handling him – she has plenty of experience! He had his showy gaits, adorable personality, and jumping abilities to show off.
Fifth Horse: Diamond Jim, ridden by Katie of Pewter Park
- I have to say, Jim has probably had the most bids on him in the entire auction! Jumping from $5,000 to $13,000, he showed everyone just how great Warmbloods are! Katie, congratulations on your great ride. You and Jim did those 3’ jumps like they were nothing!
Sixth Horse: Star Splash, ridden by Lindsay Belles
- Once again, Lindsay showed off her riding talent with this feisty little girl! Splash has great talent, and looks like she will make a beautiful jumper when she gets older. Her youth and energy also makes her an ideal training project.
Seventh Horse: Snowflake ridden by Sammie
- Sammie pretty much already know Snowflake before the exhibition, because she had been show riding her and Lil. So that gave her a head start. But she totally gave an A+ performance today! Her hunter course was everything I expected, and more. Congrats!
Eighth Horse: Lady Lil ridden by Sammie
- Lil looked absolutely beautiful in her round. She gave a perfect last performance – what a way to wrap things up! She was ridden Western style, and I also brought out her foal, the 6-year-old Encore’s Lady, to do a round on the Hunter course. Great job, Sammie! On all your horses!
