Ally Cat

Meow all! I am Ally Cat. I am a spayed female domestic short haired brown tabby/burmese cross. I am 6 years old (but I think I don't look a day over 2!) and my "parents" tell me I am very beautiful. What do you think?

I was adopted from the SPCA Hospital in Vancouver in mid September of 1998. My "mommy", Susan, works there, and fell in love with me at first sight. I had been brought in because I was a stray and wasn't feeling very good. I had had a litter of babies but somehow I lost them and wound up in the hospital.

Susan has always had a thing for brown tabbies, and when she saw me, and saw how friendly I was, she said she knew she had to take me home.
She wasn't actually planning on adopting a cat until after her birthday, but I had already been spayed and was almost ready to go up for general adoption when I developed a sniffle.. A technician in the hospital told Susan that I would have to be put into isolation as kitty sniffles are a nasty thing in the hospital and would spread like wildfire. Needless to say, Susan couldn't bear to see me in isolation so she took me home that night, just before her 29th birthday.. and now... here I am!

Susan and Julian (that's my "daddy") both love me very much. Probably because I am such a friendly, happy girl! I love talking to them, chasing string and fuzzy mice, and getting my canned food and bits of steak and chicken. I also love getting pets and looking out the windows. (Susan won't let me outside in case I get lost again. She says "Better indoors and fat, then outdoors and flat!)
The only things I don't like are being picked up too much and having my nails trimmed (they're MY nails.. I like 'em sharp!)
I am very happy to be part of this household.. I don't even mind that loud, hairless kitten (Mikey) that my parents brought home, and I hope that anyone who is thinking about getting a pet will go to their local shelters and adopt one from there.. especially like me, a fully grown cat, who needs love and a safe place to stay.

Favorite Resting Place: On the kitchen chairs, in any box I can crawl into.
Favorite things to do: Talk (ALOT) to my humans, play with my little brudder Cobee, be paid attention to.
Least favorite things: Getting my nails trimmed, being locked out of any room my humans are in, going in the dreaded CAR!
