This is Big Red. I quess you, can see why we named him that.
Actually when Big Red
found his way into our lives, he was not this big. Big Red came
into our lives 2 years ago. A lady found him on a country road.
She had saw him there for several days, but did not bother him, she thought
he might be someones hunting dog. I am not sure if he was,
used for hunting or just belonged to some one as a pet. It was a
fact he had done without food and water or at least food
for some time. Miss Angela found him and sought me out
for help. I took Big Red in
and we together made a trip to the Vet. Big Red was under weight,
and very wormy.
He also had a eye infection, which is pretty typical for the Bloodhound
Breed.
Along with several scars of various sizes on his body.
We fostered Big Red, to get him healthy to adopt. BUT, we found
our selves in love with him.
Big Red also has some issues. He can be aggressive when he decides
to and really he does not
have to have a reason. I refuse to put him down for this reason,
and also can't adopt him
for this reason. Big Red was not taught any displine in his life
before us. Which makes it hard
because of his size. Not to mention, he is very hard to keep
confinded. I do not like to keep a dog tied. Big Red,
you have to keep tied in a pen, in a pen in a pen. I am not
kidding. Believe me
Mr. Whodenie, can get out of any thing. It doesn't matter how,
high, or how strong. We
can keep a bear in a pen where we can't keep him. So this is
Big Red's story. I am sure there
is more to tell. I am also sure there are reasons for his
behavior. Now Big Red tops out at
118 lbs. When we got him he only weighed about 70.
Big Red had his nose in the ground digging.
Be sure to visit Bo'jangles Page there is lots
