My wife died three years ago, and although I have 9 cats, I often think of having a "tight partner" as a new companion. I am looking at a working dog who is loyal and fun, smart and who will respond well to obedience training. I am also retired, so I can spend considerable time with my pet. I travel in a 5th wheel occasionally and would like to take him/her with me as often as I can. This is sort of like preparing for an adoption--I'm excited about getting my new puppy and so ewhat anxiuous that I am doing the right thing. Just finished looking a Woodstock Kennel website and happened on yours. I purchased my 2nd Aussie from Linda a couple of years ago. My dog "Woodstocks Rockin At Roswell" aka Tessa is one of Whispering Oak's Just in Time's pups. Sire is Woodstock's Playing for Keeps. I don't want to brag but... Tessa is probably one of the smartest dogs ever. Just ask Linda, I've told her enough times. Don't know who she takes after,mamma or pappa, but she taught herself how to place a tennis in a frisby and pick up the fri by with ball and bring it to you. She is also able to hold the frisby in mouth and catch the tennis ball with the frisby. She is a wonderful friend. I've thanked Linda for bringing Tessa into my life and now I would like to thank you.

Up to this time I have raised one homebred Champion but am striving to get a firm hold on type a d genetic soundness and still keep the looks and brains that I desire. So...I am searching out other breeders and looking at what they have and establishing a deeper understanding so I may continue to produce outstanding Australian Shepherds. Any insigh s or words of help are greatly appreciated.
