1. 1 quart of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, 1/4 cup of Baking Soda, 1 teaspoon of Liquid Dish Soap (Dawn is recommended). Mix it and put it in a spray bottle. Spray your dogs with the mixture while scrubbing him with a sponge saturated with solution. Rinse with tap water. 2. You can use shampoo and water for a bath, then follow with a milk or tomato juice soak. Pour the milk or juice on straight; let it sit for about ten minutes, then rinse. If you don't have milk or juice you can also follow the bath with lemon or lime juice mixed with equal parts of water or one to two teaspoonfuls of household ammonia in one quart of water. 3. Try Massengill medicated douche. For small to medium dogs-mix two oz. of Massengill with one gallon water. For large dogs, double the amount. Pour the mixture over your dog until it soaks in and leave it on for 15 mins. Rinse. 4. You can douse your dog 1 1/4 cup of vanilla extract mixed in a gallon of water. Let it soak for 10 mins and then shampoo and rinse thoroughly. 5. There is also a commercial product that you can buy at your local pet supply store or grocery store. Back to Main Page |
