Now that you have the plan & you have your templates the fun can begin.

Start right now - if you already haven't - collecting pictures of everything you see that strikes your fancy.  A certain color - a rock, a shell, a straw hat, a certain fabric.  You name it - if you it touches you - save it!  Put it in a box and don't look at it for a while.

Take out your floor plan and lets see if we can figure out where we are going to put our furniture.  Are you using old pieces, buying new or a combination?  Do you have money to recover pieces that are worn?  Take into consideration your budget and then get thee to yard sales, flea markets & demolition sales.  DON'T FORGET TO TAKE TOOLs TO DEMOLITION sales.  I put it in my mind what I am looking for and you would be surprised how often I find just the perfect thing.  Even now friends ask me to get things for them. My friend asked me to get her glass door knobs with the skelton key hole on Friday.  On Saturday Jeff & I stopped at a demo sale and the house had glass door knobs and the bathrooms was a skeleton key.  I had to use a steak knife & cut my hand but I got those screws out.  Imagine her surprise when we drove up that morning with her door knobs - cost $1.00!  It happens all the time.  Just be PATIENT and look.

When you are ready pull out your pictures and scraps and play with them, decide what chair goes where and what fabric or colors go in what room.  Wallpaper and paint are very cheap.  I sponge & rag paint all over.  It's fun, fast & can be painted over easily.  There is so much you can do.  Please send me pictures of what you have done.
