Welcome to the Buckingham's

Who are these people & how did they get here?

I am always curious as to the history of why people are here (where ever "here" may be) and how they came to set up home in this place. Especially when it meant crossing an ocean or a continent.  My husband's family has many migrations in it.  In the 1800s a German Mr. Bonn met an English woman & they had children who migrated to Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada.  Why?   The Buckingham's left Norfolk, England and moved to Ontario.  The Coop's left their home and family in the Midwest and moved to the frontier of Oregon and gave their children the strangest names.  I want to know why - I have an inquiring mind.   Am I the only one?  How many of you do genealogy just to gather leaves for your tree and how many of you long to know the story behind the people - your ancestors?   If you are related to us in anyway and have any stories to tell please e-mail me and share the story with me - if it is good it is going on the web.  I would love to hear from you!  In the mean time check out all my pages.  The tree is on this page.  I don't have a lot of time or money to spend on genealogy at this time but I have gathered a lot of information and have a lot of good links and book recommendations which will be added soon to my pages.
