A Morning Walk I wander magical trails, Along clover covered pathways, See daisies swaying in the meadow, Smiling their yellow smiles. The lyric of a summer breeze Declares a new day, The daffodil nods a good morning. Weeping Willows cease to weep, Their lacy tendrils bowing low In homage to a blackbird, As he sings his tune From atop the grassy hill. Golden rays split the sky, Powderpuff clouds slide lazily by, Reflect upon the surface of a pond, Graced by a blanket of water lilies. Nature's abundance fills me, My very soul exhalted By the beauty of it all. By Margaret Lawrence January 22, 2000 Send this page to a friend!
