Nocturne in B Chopin

She sat alone absorbed in the ocean’s song,
Waves crescendoed against weed-draped crags,
Screaming gulls swooping swift and low
Snapping dinner in one gulp.
Head hung low she pondered
Images...
Wending through her mind a fine
sliver...
Slicing through the shadows.
Time grew old, night draped her in ebony,
The moon adorned her in swatches of silver and grey
Embracing her in ethereal glow,
Spirit floating in oblivion.
Soul and flesh surrendering,
Wet salt drying upon silken cheek
Forming pear-shaped tears,
A whisper came upon the wind.
Pleading, beckoning...
Loves old promise rekindled,
Contact...
Cements belief in another place
A breathe escapes from rosebud lips
Floats upward like a prayer,
Another whisper on the wind
Tribute to the universe fulfilled,
Placated soul hums a joyful sound...
She stands erect, serene.
