Goran has a bad temper as he is known to smash a racquet or two. Ivanisavic has received plenty of criticism, in particular Wimbledon '92, but his temper adds character to his game.

Goran has a terrific service, and he likes to pound aces past his opponents. His serve is terrifying, especially if he is playing well. Sometimes he attempts to hit second serve aces as well. He has the record of serving the most aces per year, over 1500 aces in 1996. The rest of his game is also pretty good, as he has a powerful forehand, backhand and volleys. Potentially he has the best game, however he mentally does not focus throughout the matches.

1998

Ivanisevic reached the final of Wimbledon defeating Medvedev, Martin and Krajicek along the way. He played very well in the final, pushing Sampras to 5 sets. This result put his ranking back it the top twenty. Ivanisevic has not had a lot of great wins this year. He reached the semi finals of the German Open. Ivanisevic reached the round of 16 at the US Open falling to eventual champ, Rafter. He has fallen in the opening round of both the Australian and French Opens.

1997

Ivanisevic made the Quarter finals at the Australian Open. Ivansevic won his home tournament in Zagreb, at the beginning of the year. He also reached the final of the Dubai Open and semi final of Sydney. Ivanisevic fell in the opening rounds of the French and US Opens.
