Gustavo Kuerton produces his groundstrokes, with power and topspin. His form at the French Open was great as he went for broke in the rallys against great baseliners. His forehand is his main weapon but his backhand, volleys and serve are solid shots as well.
Kuerton lost to Escude at the Australian Open, Escude went on to reach the Semi Finals. He also fell in the second round at the French and US Open. He has played well in various patches throughout the year, defeating Moya on clay.
