Dr. Yi Xiaoping is licensed professional engineer of Ontario, Canada since February 9, 1996, engineer-in-training of California, USA (since June 28, 2001), and SUN Certified Programmer For The Java 2 Platform (since December 5, 2000). He had his PhD degree from Queen's University of Canada in 1993, Licentiate Degree from Lulea University of Sweden in 1984, and BSc degree from South Central Institute of Mining and Metallurgy of China in 1983.

In the 20 years since his college graduation, he worked for 19 years in research and development, 2 years in university teaching, 4 years in computer software and mining industries, and 8 years in small business management. He published a total of 16 papers and 15 reports or books. He developed the A Data Processor for Experimenters software, developed and marketed the RocCAD software, and developed and distributed the PulseHead Multimedia Java Database software.
