The March to Jerusalem

The March to Jerusalem took place in the City of
Montreal on Sunday, May 23,2004 This is an annual event in Montreal,
in order to raise money for Jewish cultural events.
The weather was sunny, perfect marching weather.
Attendance was approximately 20,000 people, marching, on bicycles,
skate boards, roller blades and many in baby stroller. Members of
Jewish Organizations in Montreal were asked to sponsor some of the
stations located along the route. Ivanhoe Members, Subordinate Lodge
members and Grand Lodge members manned our station "Beth Shean" which
was located on Queen Mary Road just south of Decarie
Boulvard.
In all, this was a very successful March and we
are happy to say that the Knights of Pythias had our members and
their wives participating and doing yeoman work all day
long.
The station was closed at 5 PM. It is our hope to
be able to participate again next year at this important annual
event.
