MY
21st!
I celebrated my 21st birthday on the 19th June 1999, at Ipoh Swimming Club, a family recreation club where I spent most of my childhood days swimming and playing around.
I must acknowledge those who made that day possible and memorable for everyone.
Mummy dearest, thank you for giving me so much to enjoy and enough to lead a comfortable life.
Edwin , my brother-in-law, for the wonderful ideas you came up with. I give him credit for the creation of the brilliant souvenir programme we had to remember that night. I'm sure most of you thought I put in a few messages here and there, but I only saw and read the programme at the very same time you guys did.
Shireen, my dearest sister, thank you for your lovely message, although I don't recall you giving me rootbeer float when I was a baby...could it be that was the reason why I kept burping and why I was a chubby little girl? *grin* My sister is quite a poet..
Jamie, my brother and Ying-Ley , my sis-in-law, in London, thank you for sending me your birthday greetings via email. The dinner was not complete without you both
Don dearie, thanks so much for bearing with me and for trying to make it my day. Thank you for taking the effort to make things work out that night. I love your message. I love you more!
Weng Khiang, thanks for the video you made, although I did take half of it, thanks for helping out.
Kelvin, Kelvin, thanks for spending all the late nights polishing up the programme. And for rushing back from KL that night itself
Em, thanks for helping Furby write his message to me. I'm sure he was contented with all the food we fed him!
Also, a load of thanks goes to the staff of Ipoh Swimming Club for their flexibility ,excellent service and wonderful food.
Thank you all for your lovely gifts and wishes. Most of all, thanks for attending my dinner.
