My friends at SM Convent ,Ipoh were the best friends I had. As they say, friendship comes with laughter and tears. It's all part of the deal! Most of us already knew each other from kindergarten, got separated at primary school, but coincidently ended up in this old school situated on Brewster Road.
Hey girls, remember the kacang putih man? The nasi lemak stall? The yummy Siamese laksa? How about our dear old science lab assistant , with purple shirt and khaki coloured pants? Remember Li Hua's flirtatious antics with Mr Tan? And how everyone dreaded Miss Nair's English class? And we did have our share of fun with Mr Thong , didn't we? How about the assemblys we used to have and I'm sure many of you remember chalking our shoes on Monday mornings! How about those Speech Day performances? Canteen Day? That awful PJ test, Miss Mak ,the gardener?Aren't these memories what makes Convent special to you?
How far apart we are, we still share the same memories . How far we've drifted from each other, we still are the Class of 1995 , S.M. Main Convent Ipoh. Convent left within us many bittersweet experiences. Petty arguments, rivalry, team spirit ,loyalty, and stronger bonds ,among them. Now that we've all grown up, well, assuming we all have, friends like our high school friends don't just come and go. They stick with us for life.
I can honestly say it feels really good when I meet an old friend around. Whether or not we had had rifts or frictions, but grown up as we are, it feels good to let bygones be bygones and for us to sincerely ask about each other. And I do sincerely hope all good things for my old friends back in Convent despite our very own differences. I wish only good things your way. Blessings to all.
These pages are dedicated to all my high school friends from SM Convent, Ipoh.
