The Freshwater Aquarium, Wang-Pla project was established in 1992 to celebrate the 60th birthday Royal Jubilee of
Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand. Wang-Pla, located inside the Royal Folk Arts
and Crafts Centre at Bangsai, provides visitors with a touch of nature in addition to the Thai rich traditions.
Main building
Crossing the Octahedral Skylight, you will come to the entrance of the aquarium where a corridor brings you around to explore the freshwater environment.
As you circle around the kidney-shaped 1400 m3 tank, you'll find a variety of freshwater organisms live in the Chao Praya River System, the main blood vessels of the northern and central continental
Thailand. Then, the cylindrical tank, a 600 m3 tank contains the most fierce freshwater carnivore fishes found in Thailand.

Auditorium
Group visitors may familiar themselves before exploring the aquarium. A 176 seat auditorium located inside the main building
where you can get the information of Wang-Pla and knoledge of freshwater fishes in Thailand via slides and vidio. The auditorium canalso be used as a conference room.
