Its importance as a channel of transportation aside, Mae Kok River has today become a popular attraction among nature lovers as they can cruise the river by raft and marvel at the surrounding beautiful nature. Along the water passage, tourists will also see pockets of communities and their inhabitants. Among the interesting spots on the wy is the Karens' Village of Ruam Mit where sightseeing on elephant-back is an available attraction.
