OVARIAN CYSTS

I've noticed of late an alarming trend.. Many women are suffering from ovarian cysts; probably more so now than ever before. I saw a very good entry on this in a book called "Herbs for Health and Healing" by Kathy Keville, (© 1996), some of which I'll print here. NOTE: these suggestions also work toward easing the pain of fibroid tumors of all types, such as fybrocystic breasts, fibroid tumors on the uterus, etc.

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop on the ovary. If they are not malignant -and they seldom are- physicians do not bother to treat them, unless they become so large that they put pressure on nearby organs, become painful or impair circulation. To treat ovarian cysts, follow these suggestions:

1 - Take evening primrose oil capsules, preferably combined with Vitamin E oil, which, probably due to it's ability to detoxify and to increase circulation, aids the effect of the herb. Vitamin E also encourages the cysts to drain and helps the blood and the lymph systems to carry excess fluids away from the the cysts.

2 - A tincture, pills or tea of vitex (chaste tree berries) will help balance your hormones. Also, red raspberry and motherwort are good tonics for the uterine area.(*note* this one, I can personally verify..I've been having problems for some time with a swollen uterus, and the aforementioned has helped me a great deal*A*) The tincture listed below has helped cysts to go away in a few weeks:

Ovarian Cyst Tincture

1 tsp. each tinctures of burdock root, vitex berries, red raspberry leaves, and motherwort leaves 1/2 tsp. each tinctures of prickly ash bark and ginger rhizome.

Combine ingredients. Take half a dropperful 2 or 3 times a day.

Many of the herbs are listed with their old folk names... you will find the Latin names, as well as other names, in my Cross Reference Directory. Should you still have any problems finding the herbs, please e-mail me at aerta@oocities.com. Blessed Be!

Please remember; all herbs should be thoroughly researched before use. For more information on how to make tinctures, incense, etc. I would recommend that you go to either Botanical.com or Shez and Ken's Old City Homepage.
