After three years, it was time for another posting (Daddy's a diplomat). On to Brussels, Belgium. That's where I really got serious about riding. The photo you see above is me on top of my baby, Coeur-de-Miel (loosely translated, that means Heart of Honey ). He's a thirteen-year-old (or at least he was then) chestnut gelding and I loved him with all my heart (which consequently BROKE when I had to leave him). We traveled all around Brussels every weekend going from show to show, and I have a dresser covered with trophies to show for it. He was a spoiled little brat but still had the courage and patience to put up with me.
In November of 1999, I finally bought myself a horse, my very own. She's a gorgeous American Saddlebred mare, 15.1 hands high, born in 1995. She's unbelievably talented, and I'm getting ready for my first Hunter show this month, in October of 2000. :)
Here's a picture of her, her name is "Southern Belle":
It's spring 2003, and I just bought another horse! A beautiful yearling filly, Westphalian/TB cross, 15 hh. She's spectacular, I can't wait to see how big she gets! She's my 4' jumper prospect. :)
