In Jacobsen's Lexicon of Succulent Plants, the species is described having a cosmopolitan distribution from Africa to Sunda Island, East Asia across to Brazil. It is a erect, branching shrub with twice- or thrice-forked leaves (pinnatifid). The lime/light green leaves are forked, and sometimes the upper surface is grooved or the margins recurved upwards. Very easy to grow, and very unique and ornamental.
