K. nyikae. Engler (syn. K. hemsleyana. Cufondontis) This is a kalanchoe from East Africa (Kenya and Tanzania). The leaves are peltate or auriculate, with the basal part stands at right angles to the main leaf blade. It is found growing on bushlands. In Edith Raadts's The genus Kalanchoe (Crassulaceae) in tropical East Africa, she notes that K. nyikae can be distinguished from K. prittwitzii based on its peltate or auriculate leaves, while flowers are similar. | ![]() Photo: Yale Sedman |
