| K. rhombopilosa. Mannoni et Boiteau This kalanchoe originates from Itampolo, in SW Madagascar. It is a miniature and very attractive kalanchoe. I presume it is easy to grow in more temperate climate, here in the hot tropics, it is very slow growing. Leaves easily drop off and new plants usually grow from these broken off leaves. There are several varieties which differ in colour and amount of brown blotches. Succulents and Xerophytic Plants of Madagascar Vol.2 by Werner Rauh contains many beautiful photos. It is supposedly shy flowering. |
